When Not to Wear Your Engagement Rings, Ladies

The timeline of relationships can be as long or as short as you would like them to be. Some couples know very quickly they are meant to be, while others take their time getting to know one another before popping the big question. No matter how long it takes your relationship to reach that point, it will surely be a beautiful moment when he gets down on one knee and you see that engagement ring for the first time. You will certainly be overcome with emotions and want to wear the ring everywhere you go, and that is perfectly fine... except when you should not wear the ring because it could become damaged or lost.

Everyone just loves going to the beach during the summertime. It is a very fun and relaxing experience throughout the summer. Although you probably want to wear your shiny, new engagement ring to the beach, you probably should not! The thought of your ring being lost in the great and mighty ocean is certainly scary enough to leave it at home. Even if you are planning on staying out of the water, sand could still get into the crevices of the ring, scratch it and make it look dull. If you really need to have it with you at all times, bring a ring box and put it in the box while you are on the beach. Never put diamond engagement rings in your beach bag!

Another place you do not want to take your ring is camping. Being outdoors is very calming for some people, but if you lost your engagement ring, you may not be so calm. When camping, you will be doing all sorts of activities with your hands. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your precious ring. Losing it in the woods would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack! This concept also applies to gardening or anything else involving working outside.

Many women choose to wear their engagement rings while they sleep. This is a big no no! Sometimes your fingers may swell and make it extremely difficult to get the ring off your finger. No one wants to end up in the hospital and have them cut off your precious ring! It could also get snagged on your sheets, or even bruise your face or body while you toss and turn in bed. There is just no sense in wearing it to bed.
