Diamond Engagement Rings: Diamond Cuts

When it comes to shopping for diamond engagement rings, there is no better way to make a good decision than by educating yourself on the subject matter. Not only will you learn a lot of interesting facts about diamonds in the process, you will also be able to purchase a ring confidently, knowing your lady will love it forever. Her taste is the only taste that matters in this process so make sure you are familiar with her style in jewelry. First things first, though, learn about all of the diamond cuts so when she does talk about them, you will not be lost!

With so many different shapes to choose from, it can get a little overwhelming for the purchaser of the diamond engagement ring. The cut of the diamond will largely determine the overall appearance of the ring so let's get to discussing which is which! The marquis cut is an oval with pointed ends. This style is splendid and some would call it vintage.  The cushion cut is a cross between two shapes: rectangle and oval and is shaped like a pillow.

Diamond Wedding Bands and Wedding Etiquette in 2015

We live in a day and age where social media dictates many things. There are not too many people who do not have a Facebook and Twitter account. With this new way of thought comes new etiquette that dictates how you are supposed to act when you are getting married and when you are a guest at someone else's wedding. You certainly do not want to step on anyone's toes the day they exchange their magical diamond wedding bands, so make sure you pay attention.

If you are going to a wedding, make sure you wait to publicly congratulate them. If your sister has told you she just got engaged, do not immediately go to Facebook to congratulate her. Instead, wait until she has said something on Facebook. That means it is safe for you to discuss. It is NOT your place to tell people she is engaged. That is her responsibility, especially in the very beginning. Also, keep any wedding planning discussions to a private message. Not all of the friends on your friends list will be invited so it could breed some feelings of resentment for those who are not invited. Additionally, this is a very intimate event so the entire world does not need to know every single detail about the engagement ring and wedding plans. Be respectful of people's privacy.

Wedding Bands and Saying “I Do” in Style

The wedding bands you choose to exchange on your glorious wedding day are definitely a direct representation of the love you have for one another. This is the time to get some rings that really match your personalities and reflect that to everyone who sees them. If these rings are very important to you, then make sure you splurge a little and get some rings you truly love to wear. Above anything else (and aside from your photos), these rings will be one of the few tangible things you take away from your wedding day.

Your wedding bands are very romantic and sentimental pieces of jewelry. Jewelry is typically given as a gift on very special occasions and this is the most special of all occasions! You deserve to have fantastic diamond wedding bands just like you deserve to get married and be happy. If you want to go a little crazy with these pieces of jewelry, go right ahead! Your wedding budget can be disbursed however you see fit, so do what feels right!

Lastly, do not take your partner for granted. Make sure they know every single day just how much you love them and how excited you are to become husband and wife.
