Believe it or Not, Size Does Matter: Engagement Rings

You may be aware of the four C's of diamonds. Cut, color, clarity, and carat weight are all taken into consideration when jewelers are grading the precious little stones that the world absolutely loves. While the cut determines the overall shape and the amount of light that the stone reflects, the carat weight is what some people choose to focus on. There is nothing wrong with that, given that the carat weight is what determines the sheer size of diamond engagement rings. The larger the carat weight, the larger and more expensive the stone.

However, the other three C's will certainly contribute to the value of the stone too. There is a lot of wiggle room when choosing the perfect stone in a variety of engagement rings. If size is of the utmost importance to you, then you can sacrifice a little perfection with the other three C's in order to have your decadent rock nestled securely on your finger. You may just want to save your pennies, though, because you will likely need hand surgery from dragging it around for so many years! Each individual has very different taste when it comes to diamonds, so there is no right or wrong shape or size. It all depends on your personal taste and style.
